Frustrated and exhausted with his life, he shuts his bedroom floor and sleeps. In a sudden moment, the magical red ball takes him to a different world. He enjoys his time amidst extreme technology and out-of-this-world gadgets. People are nice, the vibe is good but the world isn’t real. It's his imagination that takes him away from the tough reality. In the end, he realizes the truth, that is, he is stuck in the real world and all of this is just an illusion. Hrvy portrays a very relatable condition that is faced by almost everyone. When times seem tough, fantasy and imagination give us peace. The fans and the listeners of this song could feel themselves drown into the depths of this soothing piece of music. It really is a masterpiece and the artist has been impeccable.

Did you ever mess things up so bad that you felt the only way you can deal with it is to wander off in a far-off space and vanish? Did you ever create an imaginary world in your head because the reality was too cruel and too inequitable? We have a hunch that the answer is 'yes' taking into consideration the fact that you are here reading this very post right now. Called by many "The Korean Matrix", the music video of Blood, Sweat and Tears by BTS very majestically harbours the theme of escapism. BTS, like several other Korean Pop idols, have always endeavoured to tell a story through their music videos, that are very intricately connected to each other. The battle between the good and the bad, the angels and the demons has perpetually echoed its war cries. The music video shows Jin (the oldest member of BTS) observing the painting called "The Fall of the Rebel Angels'' that depicts the fight between the good and the fallen angels. Humans tend to shut everything out and dwell in this fabricated space when life gets too conflicting. We sometimes make choices that we are not proud of. This inner battle that we fight every day is presented in this music video, though in a convoluted matter. But that's what makes it interesting right? Having the liberty to decode everything on your own accord, imagining yourself in the video itself, mould and unmould it in a way that syncopates your clashes. The visuals of the video are in parallel to the theme of it and take you on a journey to this mystical land. Do you know what truly makes it so elusive? It's the fact that none of it is real! It follows Taylor as she escapes into an alternate magical and mystical world to find her lover by using the golden magical string that ties them together. This golden string is a reference to her song lyric from Invisible String “one single thread of gold tied me to you.” The portal to this entrancing world is the piano which signifies how music helps one to escape reality. The portal leads her to a willow tree and she embarks upon the journey to find the one who is meant for her. Throughout the video, the singer traverses space and time, following the song’s lyrics “wherever you stray, I follow”, and takes us with her, as she tries to meet her lover. She is shown singing, dancing, and just enjoying her journey until the magical thread finally brings her back to her cottage, where she sees her lover waiting for her. United at last, both the lovers are shown walking into a forest lit with golden sunshine. The beautiful music, aesthetic locations, and the witchy, dark cottage core vibes all add to the enchanting nature of the video. The lyrics “Life was a willow and it bent right to your mind” signify how different events in her life ultimately led her to her lover with whom she found happiness. The song is perfect for hopeless romantics.
