The word ‘duo’ gives rise to a feeling of partnership. An alliance meant to create something above and beyond the limits of two mere mortal beings. The duos we will mention below have exceeded these limits. In Bollywood, extraordinary actors are often backed by exceptional singers. If an actor speaks to you on a personal level and the other sings so well, the combination of the two enhances the emotions meant to be conveyed to the audience. These duos are more like a three-way duel with us, leaving us trapped in between to decide who is better.
Salman Khan and SP Balasubramaniam:
Have you heard of this much-celebrated duo? Now, it is not too common but having set-duos for movies was common during a certain era. One such dynamic duo is/was that of actor Salman Khan and singer, SP Balasubramaniam. Salman Khan’s expressiveness and SPB’s melodious voice have presented Bollywood with so many hits. It is widely acknowledged that this duo became known for Balasubramaniam's voice was extremely compatible with Khan, so much so that the difference was almost negligible. The popularity of this duo reached its peak due to the movie “Meine Pyar Kiya”. The song is one of the most noticeable as it was sampled from the classic rock song, “The Final Countdown” by Europe.
Shahrukh Khan and Abhijeet Bhattacharya:
Who hasn't crushed on SRK of the 90s? The playful, cheerful, and witty charm he incorporates into his characters captures hearts even today. He has been and will forever remain a King and Baazigar and will forever rule our hearts. Bollywood being itself is majorly influenced by songs and playback singing. And so, as far as royalty goes, the king needs the best and the most majestic voice. This is the origin of this fabulous duo. Bhattacharya was one of the major reasons for SRK becoming the nation’s crush. We can reminisce upon this phase by listening to the numerous hit albums which are still widely appreciated. Khan’s romantic charm was established through these albums and Bhattacharya came to be known as the voice behind Khan.
Emraan Hashmi and KK (Krishnakumar Kunnath):
KK and Emraan Hashmi are names that are usually uttered together. Hashmi and KK have been blessing our screens and ears since the beginning of Bollywood’s Golden Era, more precisely the 2000’s. Hashmi was THE hype back then (not that he is not right now, for we still fangirl after him). Hit movies like Crook, Jannat, Kalyug, and many more were released consecutively, cementing their legendary duo into the minds of every Bollywood fanatic. The hype was not for naught. Emraan's flawless charm and serene gaze leaked out whenever he made an appearance on screen. As mentioned before, Bollywood albums help build hype for their respective movies, and here is where KK comes into the picture. If we have to describe it in one word, it is versatile. No, scratch that. KK has personalities, billions of them. Each song is sung from the voice of a different person, different emotions and thoughts hiding behind his voice in each song. These songs are categorized as Indian-Pop. KK has also sung songs that are so soothing and elevate your soul to a different plane. Hence, this duo will bring out a feeling of nostalgia in the listener.

Really nice blog, very observant one at that. These duos are so carefully selected that we usually associate the actor's voice to the singer's voice. Many at times also forget to give credit to the singer and we lose ourselves in the expressions of the actors. Good work recognizing both.
What a beautiful one this blog is! Really glad you're working on various aspects of music and its manifestation of the world! Loving your efforts into this!
