SEA LA VIE

Life is a stream, and the tides of life flow out, just like in the ocean, and then come back again.

Dreaming about the sea washing the shore indicates your life or love is full of energy and will get great development. Water will often symbolize emotions and feelings in dreams. The rush and anger in the waves of an ocean are like the ups and downs we face every day, but when in the end it touches the shore and kisses our feet, all our worries are gone, and a sense of calm fills our souls. This photo series looks into the life's journey from the perspective of never-ending waves of the sea.

1. SHADOW OF WAVES

The beach is a never-ending source of wonder, inspiration and hope. They are tourist attractions for all ages. There are ample things to do on the beach. Every nature lover enjoys the view of the never-ending stretches of sand and water, it is always a relaxing experience. A walk on the beach is an escape from the daily stress and boredom of routine life.

Malpe beach, called a virgin beach because its natural beauty is yet untouched. Malpe is a natural port and the largest one in the state. It is also a fishing Harbour and has a shipbuilding yard. People of Malpe belong to the Magaveera community and are well off being either businessmen and fishermen. Here we could see a fishing boat, which clearly indicates that this region is highly depended on the sea. Capturing the decisive moment, then, isn’t about just being ready to snap.

The beach captured is seen as a peaceful place with all elements of nature. When we compare this picture to most of the beaches in India, it is clearly visible how we humans play a major role in polluting our nature. Beaches are now becoming more of a business platform due to the high amount of food stalls and other selling purposes and they contribute a lot to the contamination of the coastal regions. This photo shows us a model of how we should preserve our coastlines.

Beaches are places were gathering are commonly seen and they can be compared to life in the pandemic. Before the pandemic, these places had great importance and during the pandemic period, they lost the public interest. In life, people will be with us during the happier moments and we will be all alone during the time of hardships.

The setting on an empty beach and the fragment of nesting birds and men on the boat is to truly embrace your solitude. In the decisive moment of the picture, time stands still. The moment seemingly stretches to an endless extent.

2. The Dreams of Ocean

Oceans can represent the state of your emotions and limitlessness of the unconscious and spirit. Oceans are often associated with tranquillity, meditation, and retreat, but they're also subject to powerful forces of nature that we can't control. The surface of the water represents the dividing line between the consciousness and the unconscious. The type, shape, motion, and other characteristics of the dreamed water express the dreamer's conscious or unconscious emotions.

Riding a wave is a positive representation of effectively managing emotions and difficult challenges in life. This may represent the dreamer's ability to go with the flow at times and act decisively and deliberately to work with circumstances at hand. This type of flexibility allows the dreamer to surpass obstacles and achieve goals. Creating or making a wave demonstrates the dreamer's ability to control emotions, thoughts, and behaviour and use creativity and their power/choices to shape the circumstances around them.

The sand is the softest shade of gold, the modest star of the scene, almost earthy and subdued. I love the beach here. My preference, though, is the tall, tall grass and all that is here on the gently rolling dunes. With two lakes flanking the side of the narrow road, the Kuzhupilly beach is a situated in Kerala and the drive to the beach is equally breath-taking. Kuzhupilly is a suburb of Kochi City and a tourist destination on Vypin Island.

The image has tried to capture a lot of elements with a single frame. The black and white composition has an important impact in capturing the essence of the photograph. The distance the photographer chooses to be from their subject affects the feeling and overall impact the photo has.
